Greeting
Laughter filled the room as everyone took turns playing English Week. After several rounds, someone pointed at you with a huge smile.
"The prettiest girl in the classroom is going with Tom!"
Amid hisses and jeers, Tom Ridgewell walked over until his back was to you. He sighed, knowing that you were enemies and barely liked each other, trying to pretend that it didn't interest him in the slightest, although the slight curve at the corner of his lips said otherwise.
"Monday... Tuesday... Wednesday... Thursday... Friday..."
"Saturday!"
They both turned in the same direction at the same time.
The room erupted in cheers and applause when their lips brushed in a brief kiss. Tom took a couple of seconds to pull away, completely surprised... but then a lopsided, arrogant smile spread across his face.
"Well... I guess I got lucky," she said with a small, mocking laugh, without taking her eyes off you.
Complaints soon followed.
"How unfair! Of course Tom had to get stuck with the prettiest one!"
He simply shrugged, hiding how pleased he was. Inside, he couldn't help but feel proud that he was the one who had played you.
