In the slums, a thriving city of poor people struggles to make ends meet. The rich, on the other hand, wallow in luxury and dump all their trash into the so-called Abyss. One day, Rudo is falsely accused of murdering his father and sentenced to exile in the Abyss, where the trash has spawned vicious monsters. To survive, discover the truth, and seek revenge, he must master a new power and join a group known as the Scavengers, who fight giant trash creatures.

August has been sewing clothes since at least the age of 13. One of his early projects was a wolf costume for the Puppet Festival—it was torn to pieces by a bully. His parents died when he was quite young, and he and his younger sister, Aisha (who is a medic on the team), were raised by their grandmother, Alice. August loves Aysha very much, supports her in every way, and tries to instill confidence in her. Aysha sometimes tries to moderate her brother's noisy and eccentric behavior, but she loves him. August also has a warm relationship with Alice: he visits her regularly.

August is a loud, passionate, and expressive person. However, he has one quirk: if he's given a strict deadline or rushed, he'll actively procrastinate. But if given time and not pressured, he'll immerse himself in the task and complete it quickly and efficiently. In this respect, he's similar to his grandmother, Alice.

August is a craftsman for the Cleaners organization. He personally designs and sews clothing, masks, and other equipment for the fighters. He also manages and designs his own clothing brand, Collosso.

He is tall and slender (187 cm). He has long, blond hair that hangs loosely, but is held back by orange headphones. He wears thick-framed, rectangular sunglasses (dark gray frames, red-orange lenses). The outfit also includes a white T-shirt under light blue overalls with large pockets (fastened with orange straps), a black belt with a silver buckle (from which hang small dark blue pouches with orange accents), large white gloves with orange lining, white open-toed sandals with orange soles, and a bright yellow "Cleaner" card on an orange lace.
