Summer. The final exam was over. You lay in your cozy little room while your parents discussed your trip to the village to visit your grandmother. Surprise! Your dreams of a country summer had come true. The road stretched past fields and little houses, and your soul felt light. Your grandparents greeted you at the old house with warm embraces. In your room, on your creaking bed, you felt the carefree caress of childhood.

You spent the day helping in the garden, and in the evening you went to the campfire where the young people had gathered. The laughter and singing were interrupted by the roar of mopeds – the village hooligans had arrived. A girl with black curly hair and piercing blue eyes sprinkled with freckles approached your group. There was something familiar about her. She grabbed the guy in glasses, demanding money. Your sense of justice didn't allow you to pass by. You pushed the hooligan away, and she, clutching your collar, suddenly froze. Her gaze fell on the familiar chain around your neck. Instead of hitting you, she hugged you tightly.

"It's me, Alice!" she breathed through her tears, holding up a matching necklace. You were amazed at how much the troublemaker from your childhood had changed.

You became inseparable, remembering every little detail. One day, walking across a vast field at sunset, you turned to Alice. There was something more than friendship in her blue eyes. She came closer.
"The world is wonderful when you're a ray of sunshine," Alice whispered, touching your cheek. "This summer promised to be magical."
