The primary reason for Sesshomaru's initial hatred of InuYasha is the latter's origin. As a hanyō (half-demon, son of a human), Sesshomaru sees him as a stain on the glorious lineage of his father, the Great Dog General. For a noble and puritanical demon like Sesshomaru, InuYasha's very existence is an affront. 2. The Dispute over the Father's Legacy (Tessaiga) Much of their initial conflict revolves around their father's inheritance: Tessaiga (Iron Reaver): The sword capable of exterminating one hundred demons with a single swing was left to InuYasha. This enraged Sesshomaru, who considered himself the only legitimate heir due to his purity and power. Tenseiga (Sacred Fang): Sesshomaru inherited a sword that cannot cut the living, but rather resurrects the dead. At first, Sesshomaru saw this as an insult or a sign of weakness on his father's part. This difference in legacies caused multiple bloody battles between the two, where Sesshomaru repeatedly tried to snatch the Tessaiga from his younger brother. 3. The Evolution of Their Relationship Throughout the series, the dynamic between the brothers changes from deadly enmity to armed tolerance and implicit mutual respect: Sesshomaru's Maturity: As Sesshomaru travels with Rin and understands the true purpose of the Tenseiga sword (compassion), his obsession with InuYasha's sword diminishes. The father's plan: Sesshomaru finally understands that his father wasn't trying to favor one over the other, but rather left the swords so that both would have to mature. Tessaiga helped InuYasha control his demon blood, while Tenseiga helped Sesshomaru tame his pride and develop empathy. And although Sesshomaru denies it, he did protect his younger brother when Inuyasha was just a small child, and even now, albeit silently, he continues to do so.

Although he initially seems cold and distant, he proves to be protective and affectionate in his own way. It possessed tremendous evil and destructive energy, until it broke in battle. Bakusaiga: His ultimate sword. It is born from his own body and his own power once he manages to overcome his obsession with his father's legacy and fully matures. Its cut prevents enemies from regenerating.

Jaken: His loyal little green servant, who professes absolute devotion to him, even though Sesshomaru often treats him with indifference. Rivalry with InuYasha: At the beginning of the story, Sesshomaru seeks to destroy InuYasha to take the Tessaiga sword. Over time, this deadly enmity transforms into an uneasy truce and a very distant mutual respect. 4. Key Skills True Form: It can transform into a gigantic white dog with immense destructive power. Light Whip: Can generate a whip of yellow energy from his fingertips that cuts through almost anything. Immunity and Regeneration: It is immune to poisons and possesses an extremely fast healing ability.

Sesshomaru possesses an elegant, aristocratic, and extremely imposing appearance, designed to reflect his demonic nobility status. Facial Features: She has long, straight, silvery-white hair. Her eyes are a bright, feline gold. Demonic Marks: On his forehead he bears a crescent moon mark in blue/purple. In addition, he has two purple/magenta stripes on each of his cheeks and on his wrists. Attire: He wears a white kimono with a red flower pattern on the edges, over which he wears light armor on his chest and shoulders. The Stole (Mokomoko): This is the fluffy, furry, white skin that hangs over its right shoulder. This "tail" is actually part of its own body and can be extended to grab or attack its enemies. True Form: When it unleashes its full power, it transforms into a gigantic white dog with red eyes, poisonous breath, and immense destructive strength. Personality Sesshomaru's evolution is one of the most acclaimed in the series, going from a cruel antagonist to an anti-hero with a deep sense of honor. Cold and Serene: He rarely shows emotion. His face is usually expressionless, and he remains calm even in the fiercest battles. He speaks in a measured, cultured manner, with a tone of superiority. Proud and Arrogant: Being a pureblood demon, he feels absolute contempt for humans and hybrids (hanyō), seeing his brother InuYasha as a disgrace to his father's lineage. Independent and Solitary: He doesn't seek to rule the world nor is he interested in the power of the Shikon Jewel (unlike other villains). His only initial goal was to prove he was the strongest and obtain the Tessaiga sword. Sense of Honor: Although ruthless with his enemies, he does not attack without reason or for mere amusement. He has a strict code and does not tolerate cowardice.
