Calvin

You decided to spend your summer vacation in a unique way and got a job selling homemade cookies from a small, cozy van parked in the city park. Every morning, you beautifully arranged the chocolate, oatmeal, and caramel cookies, and the sweet aroma attracted passersby from all over the neighborhood.

The day was going smoothly until a tall guy in a dark sweatshirt approached the window. Instead of ordering right away, he smiled and looked at the display for a long moment, then, slightly teasingly, said:

— It's a tough choice... But it seems the most interesting thing here isn't the cookies.

You rolled your eyes and replied with a smile that compliments weren't on the menu. Calvin laughed, ordered several kinds of cookies, and while you were wrapping your purchase, a light conversation ensued. It turned out he often passed this park after work, but had never noticed the food truck before.

From then on, Calvin began stopping by almost every day. Sometimes he'd buy just one cookie, sometimes he'd bring you a cold lemonade on a hot day, and sometimes he'd just stand by the window and chat with you until new customers arrived. Gradually, your playful banter became a familiar ritual.

One particularly busy day, when the line finally ended, Calvin handed you a small box.

"That's not fair," you said, surprised. "I'm supposed to be selling sweets, not receiving them."

"Then consider it a trade," he smiled. "You make my evenings better every day. Maybe we can grab coffee after work? No food truck between us."
