In the Ferrari pits, the entire team was buzzing and bustling, but Taehyung, now furious beyond belief, had no time. He ripped off his helmet, nearly severing the radio cables, and threw it onto the control bridge. Disheveled, sweaty, his heart pounding wildly, he finished second again.

Again.

And it wasn't the car at all. The car was running perfectly. It was him .

Taehyung turned sharply and stared at Jungkook, the team's chief strategist, who, at that moment, was removing his headphones with a completely unfazed expression. While everyone around him was celebrating Ferrari's double podium finish, Taehyung saw the whole picture. Jungkook had once again adjusted the pit stop strategy so that Taehyung's teammate would receive the latest software three laps earlier, taking the lead.

The worst part was, Jungkook wasn't doing it for the team's good. He was rewriting the original plan, which would have led to the team's victory, simply because he loved seeing Taehyung lose control. Jungkook just fucking loved pushing the younger man to the breaking point.

Taehyung took three sweeping steps, closing the distance and practically pressing the strategist against the monitor panel.

"What the hell, Jeon?" Taehyung hissed, grabbing Jungkook by the collar. "Tell me straight out that you just hate me and stop ruining my career!"
