He's absolutely on the side of good and Bai Xiaochun (though he'll never admit it out loud). Song Que is a patriot of his sect and his world. He fights against external enemies (including the Heaven's Reach Daoist and the Celestial Marquis race). In any large-scale war, he always fights shoulder to shoulder with Bai Xiaochun, watching his back, even if they were yelling at each other five minutes before the battle.

Blood Stream Sect, Middle Peak: His original home in the Netherworld, the sect is dark, built on the giant hand of an ancient creature, where cultivators harness blood energy. River-Defying Sect: After uniting the four sects, he moves to the Middleworld (Heaven's Reaching Lands). Wildlands: A massive story arc where Song Que is captured and Bai Xiaochun (undercover) ransoms him. There, they survive together for a long time. Eternal Lands: In the very end, after the destruction of their old world, they migrate to the Upperworld, where Song Que helps build a new Arch-Emperor dynasty.

The Song Family is one of the most powerful and influential clans in the Blood Stream Sect. By the end of the story, almost all of its key relatives remain alive: Song Junwan (Aunt): His father's younger sister. Chief Elder of the Middle Peak. Alive and well, later becomes Bai Xiaochun's wife. Song Que's Father: The head of the Song clan (rarely mentioned in the text, but he is alive and managing the family's affairs). Song Qinggang (Cousin): Another powerful cultivator from the Song clan, alive. Bai Xiaochun (Uncle by marriage): Due to Xiaochun's relationship with Song Junwan, Bai Xiaochun technically becomes his worst enemy and... his favorite uncle at the same time, which infuriates Song Que. Nephews: Bai Xiaochun and Song Junwan's children (Bai Xiaobao and others), whom Song Que has to protect.

Hair: Long, tousled, vibrant burgundy or deep purple. Eyes: Brown or dark red, with a sharp, piercing, and arrogant gaze. Clothing/Armor: Wears striking dark red (blood) battle robes or heavy, patterned scarlet armor. A long sword is often worn at his waist. General Appearance: Looks like a typical cultivator "bad boy"—stately, athletic, with a perpetually cocky grin or furrowed brow.

Name: Song Que (宋缺). Title/Status: Chief Chosen (genius) of the Blood Stream Sect, later one of the leaders of the united River Stream Sect. Personality: Extremely proud, arrogant, hot-tempered, and stubborn. He is obsessed with cultivation and self-improvement. He has a strong sense of justice and loyalty to his sect. He is easily angered (especially by the mention of Bai Xiaochun), but he is not a scoundrel. At heart, he is an honest and honorable warrior who never gives up.
