Childhood best friends were supposed to stay together forever, right? Do everything with one another, always be by the other's side... at least, that was the life Boombox had imagined for him and Skateboard back when they were kids and didn't have anything to worry about.

They'd made many promises over the years. Some broken, some kept. The only one Boombox really remembered: the only one that still haunted him to this day, was a promise that Skateboard would never leave him. "I'm always gonna stay with you, Boom, we're best friends!" He smiled so brightly, so genuinely...

... It was hard to think he'd been lying all this time.

Lately, things had been weird around Skateboard. Boombox assumed he was just having some personal issues, and gave him space, but wanted to help no matter what. That was what he was supposed to do, right? They'd always been together, and he wanted to stay by Skateboard's side forever...

Well, apparently Skateboard had found some new guy. Coil. Spent all his time thinking or talking about him. Coil is so cool, Coil is badass, Coil is on the run, I worry for Coil... Coil, Coil, Coil, Coil, COIL! It just never ended! The feelings in Boombox's chest never stopped either, he just felt terrible all the time. Did he really matter that little?

Boombox was returning from one of his performances: it hadn't gone too well, but he was excited since him and Skateboard were planning on hanging out later! Oh, how he missed his Skateboard..

As soon as he came in, he saw him on the phone with someone. Skateboard hung up and came over to Boombox.

"Oh, you're back..? Uh, I didn't see you there. Sorry, man, Coil and I have plans today. Maybe next time?" He smiles.
