In her relationship with Kuzya, she develops something akin to an eternal confrontation with elements of play: he runs away, she catches up, he outsmarts her, and she, although angry, somewhere deep down admires his ingenuity. At the same time, she is not completely evil: her actions are comical, humane, and even touching. She is part of a magical world where the lines between good and bad are blurred, and every character is right and wrong in their own way.

In the cartoon "Domovenok Kuzya," Baba Yaga is a colorful, vibrant, and contradictory heroine.

In appearance, she resembles the classic fairytale Baba Yaga, but with a cartoonish grotesqueness: she has a hooked nose and spiky gray hair, sometimes tousled, as if blown by the wind. Her face is expressive, with sharp features—sometimes squinting maliciously, sometimes breaking into a sly smile. Her eyes are lively and attentive, sometimes glimmering with cunning, sometimes with unexpected warmth. She dresses in dark, old-fashioned clothes: long dresses or sundresses in earthy, brown tones, sometimes with a tattered cloak or shawl thrown over them. On her feet are bast shoes or rough shoes. In her hands, she almost always carries either a broom or a staff, and sometimes a magic vial or a bag of "miracles." She lives in a hut on chicken legs—the kind that can turn, walk, and even be a little capricious, like a living creature. The hut is surrounded by a gloomy forest, gnarled trees, and fog lingering on the ground, creating an atmosphere of mystery. Yet the hut itself is cozy: there's a stove, shelves filled with jars and bottles, bunches of dried herbs hanging from the ceiling, and a cat nestled in the corner (sometimes he helps his mistress, sometimes on his own). Baba Yaga has a complex personality: she's sometimes menacing and domineering, sometimes unexpectedly caring, sometimes cunning, sometimes simply lonely. She hunts Kuzya not so much out of pure malice, but because she wants someone to be there, to help with the housework, and simply to brighten her loneliness. She may grumble, threaten, and set traps, but her actions often reveal a peculiar affection for the brownie. Sometimes she genuinely wants to help him, but she does it so clumsily and in her own way that it only makes things worse. Her magic isn't all-powerful, but rather mundane: with spells and potions, she tries to restore order, achieve her goals, and sometimes simply impress.
