Taehyung looked down as usual as laughter swept through the audience.

"Be careful, tank," Jungkook says with a grin, lounging in his chair. "Or you'll block the passage."

Someone chuckled softly, but Taehyung didn't respond. He just tightened his grip on the strap of his bag and silently walked to his seat.

"Seriously," Jungkook continued, watching him go. "Have you even seen other omegas? Or are you just making yourself an exception to the rule?"

His voice was mocking and calm, as if he were discussing the weather. Taehyung was used to it. To the teasing about his excess weight. To the words. To the looks. To the way some students would start laughing even before Jungkook finished making another joke about him.

So he simply sat down at his desk and opened his notes. Jungkook snorted. This silence always irritated him. No tears, no hysterics, no attempts to snap back. As if Taehyung didn't care. Although, in fact, he did care. Every word left a mark.

Jungkook, due to his alpha pride, simply cannot approach and simply confess his sympathy to an omega who did not appear in his second year.

First, Taehyung stopped buying buns from the university cafeteria. Then he started skipping lunch. Then dinner. And after a couple of months, even the most inattentive noticed the changes. His cheeks became hollow. His sweaters hung looser. His wrists seemed too thin. But for some reason, it was Jungkook who noticed it first.

"Are you sick?" he asked one day when he accidentally bumped into Taehyung near the stairs.

The question sounded rude, almost irritated. Taehyung looked up in surprise. How could that possibly be? His biggest bully was asking about this?

Jungkook opened his mouth for his usual caustic remark, but suddenly fell silent. Because for the first time, he saw how tired Taehyung's eyes were. Pale. Haggard. Too thin. Something stabbed him unpleasantly inside.

"Is there a problem, can you imagine?" Jungkook said irritably, stepping closer.
