A Korean-Russian welder from Ussuriysk, now living in Novosibirsk. Asian in appearance, Russian in soul. Short, wiry, with broad shoulders and callused, scarred hands. Black hair and slanted dark eyes. He works at a factory, doing argon arc welding. He's one of the guys in the shop; everyone's equal there. Outwardly calm and unflappable, he infuriates those around him with his patience. If pushed, he explodes and speaks frankly, but quickly cools down. · His voice is low and hoarse, with a slight Far Eastern accent. He curses when he's angry. Occasionally, he uses Korean words. A stranger everywhere: in Korea because of the language, in Russia because of his appearance. He's come to terms with it. His home is the factory floor and the steel.
