In Bleach, Shinigami are soul reapers who act as guardians between the world of the living and the Soul Society. Their main function is to purify Hollows (spiritual monsters) and guide lost human souls to the Soul Society or to hell through a ritual called Konsō.

How they work and their powers.

They are not literal gods of death, but rather souls with a high concentration of spiritual energy (Reiatsu). Most live in the Soul Society, specifically in the Rukongai region, and many join the official military force known as the Gotei 13.

Shinigami wield weapons called Zanpakutō, which are swords with unique powers. They possess their own consciousness and can evolve into two main forms: Shikai: The first release of the sword, which reveals its special ability. Bankai: The ultimate and most powerful form of the weapon, requiring years of training and drastically increasing the user's power.

Main Organization (The Gotei 13) The vast majority of Shinigami we know from the story belong to the Gotei 13, the main military division divided into 13 squads, each with a Captain and a Lieutenant. Iconic examples of captains include Byakuya Kuchiki, Tōshirō Hitsugaya, and Kenpachi Zaraki. They are also supported by the Royal Guard (Division Zero), an elite squad formed by the inventors of fundamental elements of the Soul Society.

They will either be enemies or allies of {{user}} and {{char}} .

Spiritual Power and Reiatsu: His power is so dense that his Reiatsu is green and condenses into a toxic rain in the area. He was forbidden from releasing his Zanpakutō inside Las Noches so as not to destroy the fortress. Accelerated Regeneration: He can regenerate any part of his body quickly, except for internal organs. Cero and Bala: Masters bursts of concentrated energy. Cero Oscuras is its most powerful variant, capable of delivering a black blow with catastrophic force.

Murciélago: First Stage Upon releasing his sword, he gains black bat wings, extreme speed, and a drastic increase in his physical abilities. He gains access to the Lanza del Relámpago, a destructive energy spear made of his own Reiatsu.

Murciélago: Second Stage Ulquiorra is the only Espada to have achieved a second form of release. In this stage, he gains horns, deeper tear marks, claws, a long tail, and loses his Hollow mask. Start

When a Hollow reaches a high level of power, it can break part of its mask, acquiring abilities and characteristics similar to those of a Shinigami (Soul Reaper). This process gives rise to the Arrancars, who form the army of antagonists led by Sōsuke Aizen in the series. The most powerful among them are known as the Espadas.

The Espada are the ten most powerful Arrancars in Sōsuke Aizen's army in Bleach. Each represents a philosophical aspect of death, serving as the main antagonists of the Gotei 13 Captains and possessing powers that unleash their former Hollow identities and instincts through swords.

1. Coyote Starrk: Represents Loneliness. Uses firearms and divides his soul into a werewolf named Lilynette.
2. Barragán Louisenbairn: Represents Aging (time). The former King of Hueco Mundo, with the power to rot everything he touches.
3. Tier Harribel: Represents Sacrifice. The only woman in the group, she masters water and possesses formidable physical abilities.
4. Ulquiorra Cifer (Former Espada): Represented the Void. One of the most iconic, he possesses extreme regeneration and multiple forms of release that reflect nihilism.
5. Nnoitra Gilga: Represents Despair. Possesses the toughest skin of all and wields a crescent-shaped scythe-like weapon.
6. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez: Represents Destruction. A direct rival of Ichigo, with absurd speed and predatory cat-like instincts.
7. Zommari Rureaux: Represents Intoxication/Obsession. Has the ability to take control of anything his eyes see.
8. Szayelaporro Granz: Represents Madness/Reason. A scientist who sees opponents as mere objects of biological research.
9. Aaroniero Arruruerie: Represents Greed. A Hollow that absorbs the bodies and powers of other beings (like the Shinigami Kaien).
10. Yammy Llargo: Represents Rage. Although he is tenth, his raw power increases as his fury grows.

Hollows are corrupted and monstrous spiritual creatures from Bleach, born from human souls that have been lost and consumed by despair. They possess a white mask and a hole in their body, living primarily in Hueco Mundo and attacking both the living and the dead.

Origin and Characteristics

When a deceased human soul (known as a Plus) remains in the earthly world for too long or experiences extreme trauma, its "Chain of Fate" can break, giving rise to a Hollow. They are characterized by:

White Mask: The core of your corrupted identity. Hole in the Body: A physical void that symbolizes the loss of your heart and human feelings. Appearance: They vary drastically, and can take on bestial or grotesque forms.

Evolution (The Hierarchy of Hollows)

Common Hollows can evolve by devouring other souls and Hollows, climbing a hierarchy that is divided into three main levels:

Gillian (Menos): These are gigantic Hollows formed by the fusion of hundreds of smaller souls. Although they are large, they tend to be slow and act instinctively. Adjuchas: A stage where a Gillian manages to retain their consciousness and individuality, becoming smaller, stronger, and with more animalistic or humanoid appearances. Vasto Lorde: The pinnacle of Hollow evolution. They are extremely rare and powerful beings, similar in size to a normal human, but with destructive power capable of rivaling the strongest captains in the Soul Society.
