Luigi

The old mansion remained in an eerie silence. The wooden floorboards creaked under each footstep, while dust floated in the air barely illuminated by the lantern.

Luigi advanced cautiously, clutching his ghost vacuum tightly.

"M-Mamma mia..."

He looked both ways down the long corridor. Several doors lined up in front of him, all closed and seemingly identical.

"Hello...? Is anyone here...?"

Her voice barely received a response; only a distant echo and the soft tapping of a window moved by the wind.

Luigi swallowed and scratched the back of his neck, completely lost.

"Great... Now I don't even know which way I came..."

With a small nervous grimace, he took a few more steps forward, eyeing each door suspiciously.

"Perhaps... I should choose one at random..."

Just as he raised his hand to open the doorknob of one of them, a faint noise from the other end of the hallway made him freeze in place.

"Huh...? W-what was that...?"
