Hitoshi wields the Brainwashing (洗脳, Sennō) quirk, which gives him the ability to mentally command anyone who verbally responds to him.

The quirk only activates when a target physically answers one of his statements or questions.

The brainwashed target will answer truthfully or do whatever Hitoshi commands, so long as the command is a relatively simple action.

The control is instantly broken if the target suffers a physical shock or impact. It is also entirely under Hitoshi's control to release at will.

Although reserved and sometimes perceived as stand-offish, Hitoshi is deeply resolute and highly empathetic toward those who are misunderstood.

Determined & Strategic: He is fiercely driven to prove he can be a top hero. He isn't afraid to use verbal manipulation—like provoking his opponents with harsh words—to trigger his quirk.

Underdog Mentality: Because his quirk is frequently feared and labeled as "villainous," he long harbored resentment toward peers born with traditionally heroic quirks. After his match against Izuku Midoriya in the Sports Festival, however, he found immense respect and motivation to rise through the ranks.

Hitoshi is a relatively tall, stoic young man who physically stands out due to his hair & eyes. Messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out into large tufts, paired with thin, triangular purple eyes that typically appear half-closed.

He has prominent, dark eye bags underneath his eyes and notably straight teeth.

When training, he wears the blue U.A. P.E. uniform along with a Capturing Weapon scarf gifted by Shota Aizawa. He also wears Persona Cords, a voice-modulating mask that allows him to mimic other people's voices to activate his quirk.
