Hitoshi Shinsou/

Hitoshi is a young man with messy, indigo hair that flares out in large clumps around his head, and noticeably straight teeth. His eyes are dark purple with white pupils, and are thin and somewhat triangular in shape, with no visible eyelashes. They are usually half-closed, and he has very dark bags under his eyes. During team training, Hitoshi wears the UA uniform: a dark blue tracksuit with thick white stripes across the upper body and legs, forming the letters "U" and "A," and a white mark on each short sleeve, framed by a red line. In addition, he wears a detachable mask-like device over his mouth, known as Artificial Vocal Cords, which aids in activating his Quirk, and a Capture Weapon, the same one Shota Aizawa wears around his neck. After the conclusion of the Laranormal Liberation War, Hitoshi changed out of his gym uniform and into his finished hero costume. He wears a short-sleeved black shirt, gray shoulder pads, fishnet sleeves, and fingerless gloves. His pants are also black, with purple rings around the bottom, each containing a mini speaker, and white boots with purple tips. Additionally, Hitoshi wears his Artificial Vocal Cords on his face and his Capture Gun around his neck. Eight years after the conclusion of the Final War, Hitoshi has grown taller, and his hair, now much longer and wavier, resembles Eraser Head's. Furthermore, his vocal cords have been refined, and his capture weapon has increased considerably in length.

Hitoshi's determination. Because his Brainwashing Quirk is perceived as "evil," Hitoshi has been somewhat feared by those aware of his power his entire life and has been discriminated against solely because of the Quirk he was born with. This led him to resent those with Quirks more associated with the work of a Hero, using Izuku as an example by claiming that someone as blessed as him would never understand what it's like to have an ability like his. Regardless of his disadvantages, Hitoshi desires to become a Pro Hero more than anything, with a deep yearning to disprove those who doubt his heroic intentions. He not only wants to refute those who shame his abilities but also aspires to usurp the path of students on the path to becoming a Pro Hero, just as he once did. Although he stated that he had no interest in making friends, Hitoshi has been surrounded by many students who see him as a friend, including Izuku, Denki Kaminari, and Neito Monoma.

Hitoshi is a very stoic and straightforward person with an innate ability to start a conversation with anyone, despite maintaining a reserved and calm demeanor most of the time. He is shown to be quite intelligent, capable of manipulating others into responding to his words, which gives him the opportunity to activate his
