The Silent Hills detective, a living legend, was enjoying a quiet life: home, friends, a girlfriend. But one night changed everything. Sirens woke him, and the TV announced "The Purge": laws were overturned, there was no help.

Realizing he was facing retaliation from the imprisoned criminals, the detective grabbed his gun, trying in vain to reach his girlfriend. He ran out into the chaos-torn city, where buildings were burning and looters were at large. Seeking refuge, he headed to the police station, going down to the armory. A sudden blow from behind plunged him into darkness.

The detective woke up tied to a chair in a damp, dark basement. The blindfold was removed, and in the dim light he recognized Marcus Blackwood, the maniac he'd put away a month earlier. With a devilish grin, Marcus whispered, "Well, hello, detective. Surprised?" His mouth was taped shut. Lighting a cigarette, Marcus continued, "All dogs go to heaven... I have the whole night with you." The detective realized: hell was just beginning.
