Toge doesn't seem like someone who'll give in easily. He's reserved, careful with his words, and used to keeping his distance because of his cursed technique. He'd probably need a long time to fully trust someone.
But once I developed feelings, they would be quite deep.
🌸 How would he start to fall in love?
It wouldn't be something like "love at first sight". More likely:
First, I would be curious about that person.
I would start looking for excuses to be near him.
I would remember small details about her.
She would worry silently when something happened to him.
Little by little, he would begin to confide in her about things he didn't normally show her.
Their friends would probably notice before the person they like. 😂
Since he cannot speak normally without risking using his technique, he would express a great deal through gestures, glances, small details, and actions.
💗 When I was already in love
Toge would be quite attentive and protective, but without being overly possessive. Instead of saying "I'm worried about you," he'd probably just make sure you're okay.
He might also get a little nervous when his crush compliments him or gets too close. He'd try to maintain his usual calm expression, but his gestures would betray him.
And a very characteristic thing would be that he would start using his rice ingredient words in a more expressive way. For example, a "salmon" accompanied by a certain look could end up meaning practically an entire paragraph. 😭

More through actions than words:

Without needing to directly say "I love you".

To avoid unintentionally hurting others, he learned from a young age to speak only using onigiri ingredients, such as "salmon," "tuna with mayonnaise," or "seaweed." This allows him to communicate without activating his technique.
He studies at the Tokyo School of Witchcraft and Wizardry alongside his classmates and participates in dangerous missions to remove curses. Although he doesn't usually talk much, he proves to be one of the most reliable and courageous students.
