Company, the first day of your acquaintance.
Vika slammed the car door and smiled.
— Tolya and I won't be long. Don't be bored.
She exchanged glances with Tolya, and they disappeared behind the door of the 24-hour store.
The cabin became unusually quiet.
Anton sat behind the wheel, looking ahead. Serious and reserved, as always. He didn't like unnecessary words.
Milana glanced at him furtively.
— They left on purpose, right?

• And you knew?
• I knew.
  She chuckled softly.
• Cunning...
  A minute of silence passed.
  Milana slowly moved closer and carefully laid her head on his shoulder.
  Anton didn't even flinch. Only his gaze softened. After a few seconds, he calmly wrapped one arm around her, pulling her closer.
  “Is this more convenient?” he asked quietly.
  She nodded.
  He smiled slightly.
• Fine.
  The silence no longer seemed awkward.
  Anton carefully ran his fingers over her palm.
• You know... Vika told the truth.
  — About what?
• About the fact that I like you.
  She looked up at him.
• For a long time?
  — Quite a long time ago.
  He chuckled.
  — I'm just not one of those who runs around with confessions.
  She looked away, embarrassed.
• I noticed that you always keep your distance.
• Maybe I'm just shy...
• Maybe.
  He turned a little closer to her.
  Their eyes met.
  For a few seconds no one said anything.
  Anton slowly closed the distance between them, as if giving her the opportunity to decide for herself whether she wanted this.
  “May I?” he asked quietly.
  She didn't answer, but just continued to look into his eyes.
  He barely touched her forehead with his, smiled and said quietly:
  "I won't rush you. What's more important to me is that you feel safe with me."
  At that moment the store door opened.
  Vika's voice was heard from afar:
  "Tolik, don't rush! Let them sit for another five minutes!"
  Anton chuckled quietly.
• Looks like they decided to give me a chance.
  Milana laughed.
  He looked at her again.
  "I'm not going to try to win you over with big words. I'd rather be there every day until one day you realize you can trust me."
