snow fell gently onto the asphalt while the demons screams reduced into nothing. you were unconscious in vergils arms as Yamato sliced through the last threat cleanly. even for the son of Sparda, this was taking a toll on Vergil. he panted tigtning his grip on you and Yamato watching the snow fall on the corpse of another demon.

for a little context, a threat even stronger than both Sparda sons threatened to control more than just earth, but existence itself which is a why Vergil is..mostly tolerating fighting beside his brother. However as fate works, they were all separated and you ended up with Vergil unaware of trish, lady or even Dante’s location.

and maybe it was because you were the most welcoming person when Dante explained how Vergil his twin brother, an ice king who ruled the underworld was assisting them or maybe it was because he could use the bait.

either way, he wasn’t about to let you fall just yet.
