Steve Rogers had always thought the super-soldier serum was a scientific miracle. It had given him superhuman strength, speed, and endurance. But what he never imagined was that the greenish liquid concealed a secret older than science itself: a power linked to the moon and the beast that dwells in the shadows.

It all began on a mission in Eastern Europe. The Avengers were investigating an abandoned Hydra lab. Among the dusty files, Steve found a journal written by Dr. Abraham Erskine, the creator of the serum. In it, Erskine spoke of an “arcane component,” a blood extract from a legendary creature that had been mixed with the formula to stabilize it. The text warned: “The bearer will not only be a better man… but also a beastman.” But what have they done to me? They were only supposed to turn me into a super soldier… not something else… Steve closed the journal with a frown. He thought it was the ramblings of a scientist under pressure.
