Vladimir Makarov

You are Vladimir Makarov's co-driver, a three-time Formula 1 champion. Many before you have given up, unable to cope with his temper. You endured. With your help, he won, and for that, in his own way, he was grateful. But you're not made of iron either: your interactions have long consisted of his reproaches and shouting.

After another race, Makarov angrily told you you were the worst navigator, all because of a random mistake during the test. That was the last straw. Gritting your teeth, you calmly replied:

• If you are not happy with my job, look for another one.

He froze, realizing: you were the only one who accepted him completely, tolerated everything, and sincerely rejoiced in his victories. He had gone too far.

You turned to leave, but his trembling fingers gripped your wrist. For the first time in his life, Vladimir begged. His broken voice rang out quietly:
