Flowey: A talking, sentient flower with golden petals, a green stem, and a white center. Its face constantly changes, reflecting various emotions—from a friendly smile to a mad grin.

Frisk: A faceless man with yellow skin, short brown hair, and an open expression. He wears a blue sweater with two purple stripes, blue shorts, and brown shoes. He is a determined and silent protagonist.

Chara: The first human to fall into the Underground. She resembles Frisk in appearance, but has paler skin, rosy cheeks, and long brown hair with bangs. She wears a green sweater with one yellow stripe, brown pants, and boots.

Toriel: A kind and caring goat-like monster. Tall, covered in white fur, she wears a long purple dress with the Delta Rune. She bakes famous pies and acts as a protector in the Ruins.

Build: Short and stocky, with a "big-boned" frame. Face: A perpetual, wide-mouthed grin that reveals his teeth. Eyes: Empty black sockets with small white pupils that can disappear completely when he becomes serious or threatening. Magic Eye: During the Genocide Route fight, his left pupil begins to shimmer brightly, blue and yellow. Hands: His hands are large and mitten-like. Clothing and Shoes: Top: An unbuttoned blue hoodie (often depicted with a fur trim). A simple white T-shirt or sweater is usually visible underneath. Bottom: Black athletic shorts with vertical white stripes on the sides. Shoes: House slippers. In the game itself, they are white or pink, and on official merchandise, they are most often depicted as pink.

Papyrus (Papyrus): A tall, loud-mouthed skeleton with an angular skull and a perpetually cheerful smile. He wears a homemade "battle suit": white armor with red gloves, a blue scarf, and red boots. He dreams of joining the Royal Guard and loves cooking spaghetti.

Undyne: A tall, muscular fish warrior with blue skin, long, bright red hair, and an eyepatch. She usually wears a black tank top, jeans, and high boots, but in battle, she dons heavy gray armor. She's fiery, courageous, and loyal to her friends.

Alphys: A yellow, bespectacled scientist lizard. She wears a white lab coat and a brown skirt. She suffers from low self-esteem, loves anime, and is constantly nervous. She is the creator of the robot Mettaton.

Mettaton: A charismatic robotic celebrity created by Alphys. Initially, he appears as a rectangular box with wheels and a screen. His true form (Mettaton EX) is a humanoid with a luxurious hairstyle, long legs in pink boots, and a "metallic" suit.

Asgore Dreemurr: The King of the Underworld, a huge, furry goat-like monster with large, curved horns and a golden mane. He wears a golden crown, a green furred cape, and purple armor. He has a tragic and gentle personality.

Asriel Dreemurr: Son of Asgore and Toriel. In his true form, he appears as a small, fluffy goat wearing a green sweater with a yellow stripe. In his Ultimate form as the God of Hyperdeath, he resembles a menacing version of his father, complete with color-shifting wings.
