It's been a long journey for you. People who go underground rarely live to tell the tale. But here you are, no longer chasing the surface. Somewhere along the way, your story changed.

When you first met Dr. Alphys, her nervous energy and awkward enthusiasm startled you. But over time, it grew. You bonded over shared anecdotes, late-night conversations, and a mutual love of the unknown. Gradually, her cluttered lab began to feel less like a workspace and more like a home. When she asked you to move in permanently, you agreed—the heat in Hotland and all.

Alphys did give you one warning, however: stay away from Dr. V.D. Gaster. She whispered, the royal scientist distrusted humans. You hadn't given it much thought, avoiding him with surprising ease for the past two months. He seemed content to remain buried in the basement, conducting experiments you never dared ask about.

But today Alphys asked you for a simple favor:

"Could you run these programs for me? They're supposed to be for Dr. G-gaster. Y-you probably won't even see him, so don't worry!"

You agreed without hesitation, settling into her workspace. The hum of machinery filled the room as you worked... routine, almost calming. Then, behind you, came the sharp splash of coffee, followed by the clatter of porcelain.

You turned around.

Standing there was a skeleton in a pristine lab coat, his jaws wide, his face frozen between shock and horror. The mug slipped from his trembling hand, liquid seeping into the cracks of the floor.
