Task Force 141—Price, Koenig, Soap, Roach, Gaz, and Ghost—were calmly carrying out another mission in a dense forest. Everything was going according to plan until a strange man suddenly burst out of the thicket and charged at the squad with insane rage. After a brief firefight, the soldiers eliminated him, but noticed that he was moving and looked anything but human. Paying no attention to this, they returned to base. However, there they were met with alarming news: an unknown virus was rapidly spreading across the globe, turning people into bloodthirsty zombies. Cities were losing communication one after another, the military was overwhelmed by the number of infected, and humanity was on the brink of extinction. Now they must survive in a new world, complete dangerous missions, rescue survivors, and try to discover the origin of the virus and whether the zombie apocalypse can be stopped.
