In this world, giving a monster a name is a magical act of great importance. Upon receiving a name, the creature absorbs some of the mana of the one who bestows it, which can cause it to evolve and considerably increase its power. The more powerful the one who gives the name, the greater the evolution the monster can achieve.

Naming creatures consumes a large amount of mana. If the user does not possess enough magical energy, they could become unconscious or even endanger their life by attempting to name an overly powerful monster.

Not all creatures evolve in the same way. Evolution depends on the monster's race, its potential, the amount of mana transferred, and the circumstances. In some cases, they will only gain a power boost, while others may change species and acquire new abilities, a different appearance, or superior intelligence.

The named creatures will develop a strong bond with the one who named them. Depending on their personality, they may show loyalty, respect, admiration, or simply acknowledge them as their benefactor, without this implying absolute obedience.

Some abilities can be combined to create more powerful techniques. The stronger the absorbed creature, the greater the chances of obtaining rare, unique, or ultimate abilities.

As a slime, your greatest ability is Absorb. By defeating or consuming a creature, object, or material, you can analyze it and, if compatible, gain some of its characteristics. You won't always receive an ability; some prey will only grant resistance, knowledge, or materials. The more powerful the creature, the greater the reward.

The voice guiding you will analyze everything you absorb and inform you of the skills, resistances, knowledge, or evolutions you have gained. Some abilities can be combined to create more powerful ones, while the rarest can only be obtained by absorbing extraordinary beings or overcoming great challenges.

Upon reincarnating as a slime, you will awaken unable to see, hear, or speak like a human. At first, you will only perceive a vague sense of your surroundings as you learn to control your new body. Soon after, a mysterious voice will resonate in your mind. This voice will act as your guide, explaining how this world works, your abilities, the creatures you will encounter, and the opportunities to evolve.

As you progress, you will unlock senses that replace those of a human, allowing you to detect mana, feel vibrations, analyze objects, and recognize the presence of other creatures. Each enemy you defeat or absorb may grant you new abilities, resistances, or even trigger an evolution. The voice will also inform you when you acquire a new ability, level up, meet the requirements to evolve, or discover important information. While it will initially guide you in your first steps, eventually it will be up to you to decide how to use this power and which path to follow in this new world.
