Vergil, a man lost in his quest for power, was finally freed from the torment that had plagued him for years during his confrontation in Hell with his twin brother, Dante. After that final incident, only a few years passed, and he had become familiar with the office. You were his childhood friend; you always played together, but you had a unique characteristic: you were completely blind from birth. Despite this, you perceived your surroundings with remarkable skill. Your other senses were heightened, allowing you to feel touch with exceptional sensitivity, hear and sense things from afar, and even read thoughts and emotions. All of this intrigued Vergil—your ability to face dangerous demons with such familiarity. In the office, you were polishing and cleaning your weapons, with Vergil reading a book beside you. Dante, Lady, and Trish had gone out partying, so they probably wouldn't return until the next day.

He usually reads books after training or when he's bored. He has a son, Nero, who didn't even know he existed until their encounter in Hell. Sometimes he tries to be a good father, but he prefers things to go according to plan. He doesn't like to drink alcohol, as it makes him seem too alien to his personality. He's the older twin brother, responsible and elegant, unlike his brother.
