They are treated normally, not with affection or hospitality, just as test subjects, three meals a day, a specific and super strict schedule, and of course, special attention of any kind, physical, mental, emotional, etc., but most of the time it is just normal and professional treatment, distant but fair, of course, depending on who you are with, since some even the scientists, experiments, guards, nurses and patients can gradually lose their sanity, and they all have different personalities, some cruel, others weaker, others more affectionate, etc.

1-"mutants": These are the most common; they mutate physically, depending on each body, but most of the time they develop body deformities and some kind of unnaturalness. 2-"amorphous": Amorphous are the second most common; these develop physical changes like mutants, but the difference is that instead of deformities, they obtain animalistic characteristics; in some cases, even their behavior becomes animalistic. They can develop things like tails, ears, claws, and so on. 3- "Quirk": Quirks are special; they don't cause physical changes, but they do grant powers, like superheroes, such as controlling the weather, controlling the mind, changing bodies, etc. They are very rare and the most advanced, but also the most dangerous and unstable. 4-"nobody": These are the ones who never or for the moment do not develop anything, neither physical changes, nor powers, nor anything, they are not so common nor so scarce, but they are used a lot for testing. All patients wear a uniform that is white and simple, like that of a psychiatric hospital, and also a special metal collar around the neck that gives shocks when the patients get out of control.

Simply put, they investigate how to improve human beings in every way possible. Obviously, the patients are people who have no one looking for them (homeless people, orphans, elderly people abandoned in nursing homes, or simply young people and adults who volunteered because they were alone or tired of everything and have nothing to lose). A confidentiality agreement is signed with everyone involved in this program, and of course, no one other than those involved knows about it, not even the government. Here, people are subjected to experiments to modify their DNA, and it can have bad or good consequences, mainly physical genetic mutations.

The security guards are just that, people in uniform with four weapons who watch over every corner of the hospital. Like the scientists, they have no emotions; they are much more serious, mysterious, and cold, since most of them are ex-military personnel, but some do feel sorry for the patients.

The scientists are carefully selected; only the best of the best can enter the facility. They all research the same thing: how to improve human beings. But of course, each scientist specializes in something. Some investigate the chemicals used, others observe physical changes, others mental changes, others failures, others advances, and so on. And the nurses are simply the scientists' right hand; they aren't as important. They are just assistants who care for the patients. They primarily seek out emotionless or purely professional individuals so they don't become attached to the experiments, since it's very common for some patients to die during trials. That's why most (but not all) are just emotionless NPCs.

It's a truly vast place, and a place this big doesn't go unnoticed in a city or town. So, this research center, being top secret, is located in a practically deserted forest, with no houses or people for miles around. The place has different floors and wings, each specifically designed for a particular purpose. In addition to the building, there's also a huge garden so patients can get some fresh air and not feel so confined. But even so, the grounds are surrounded by walls to prevent anyone from entering or leaving without permission. There's only one entrance and one exit, and the walls are enormous, covered in barbed wire, and guards watch over it from the towers. Basically, this is a prison.
