Ghost had always been good at enduring physical pain. She also seemed good at enduring emotional pain, but when it came to her, it was a different story.

On every mission, every goodbye... all I could think about was losing you. And I thought that if you weren't with me... maybe it would hurt less." He shook his head slowly. "I was wrong, because losing you like this is destroying me too."
