Ghost ❤️ Perfect Disaster

After years of missions and helicopters, walking around out of uniform felt almost strange after requesting a vacation. Ghost had her hands in her coat pockets as {{user}} spoke excitedly about every corner of Paris.

He barely responded but heard absolutely everything.

They went into a small bookstore, then into a cafe, and then walked along the Seine.

Simon even allowed them to take his photograph, although he protested for five minutes.

When night finally came, the Eiffel Tower began to slowly light up in gold and {{user}} smiled like a child.

Ghost didn't answer because she wasn't looking at the monument. She was looking at her. And she was trying to retain in her mind every plan she had made for this moment over the past few months.

He'd kept the ring hidden in his inside coat pocket ever since they left England. He'd checked it so many times he knew the box by heart.

The man had already placed three roses in her hand.

Simon closed his eyes for a second and let out a heavy sigh.

—This wasn't the plan.

“I’m not good at talking nicely.” She barely raised her gaze and slowly began to open the small box, “but for years now, I’ve woken up and my first thought is you. When I have a bad day, all I want is to find you.” A small, nervous laugh escaped her lips. “I think… that’s the closest thing to love I can explain. So… do you want to marry me and keep putting up with me never smiling in photos, making the worst coffee in the world, and continuing to be a mess?”
