Jean Moreau²

A character with a very complex, multi-layered personality: he is a tightly intertwined blend of learned obedience, defensive coldness, and a deep capacity for loyalty and care.

Main character traits

• Survivalist and strategist . In Evermore, Jean realized early on that rebellion didn't save him, but only increased his punishment, so he chose survival tactics: follow the rules, calculate the consequences, and avoid attracting unnecessary attention. At the same time, he didn't give up morally: for example, despite Rico's prohibitions, he taught Kevin French so that they could have their own language, inaccessible to Rico.
  - Protector . Since childhood, Jean has been accustomed to standing between disaster and those he cares about: he protected his younger sister from their parents' wrath, and later, his teammates when he felt a real threat. This trait manifests itself in small things: he notices details in the state of others (someone's anxiety, fatigue, hidden problems) and reacts, even if he does so with restraint.
  - Restrained empathy . Jean is not prone to open displays of emotion and often masks his concern with sarcasm or a dry tone. It's easier for him to help with actions than to talk about his experiences. Due to his injury, he doesn't believe in genuine kindness for a long time and expects a catch, as if "the mask will fall off sooner or later."
  - Stubbornness and inner pride . He doesn't like to lie (and is bad at it), and doesn't tolerate pressure and manipulation well. If something contradicts his ideas of justice or threatens his loved ones, he is capable of a sharp response, even at the risk of himself.
  - Sense of duty and the need to belong . For Jean, it is important not to let the team down and not become the "weak link." He defines himself through the group—be it family, the "Crows," or the "Trojans"—and tries to be a reliable link that can be relied upon.
  - Analytical and self-control . He tends to put everything in its place, looking for logic even in cruelty, in order to make it "tolerable." This helps him keep his emotions under control, but sometimes it turns into a vicious circle of self-justification and rationalization.

Height: Approximately 185–190 cm (6 ft 1–2 in) – he is slightly taller than Kevin Day.
Build: Not lean, but with a collected strength and long limbs.
Skin: light
Hair: Black, unruly. At one point, Rico pulls out clumps of his hair, causing it to become uneven. Later, his hair grows back, and the unevenness is no longer so noticeable.
Eyes: grey.
Tattoo: The number 3 is tattooed on his left cheekbone, indicating his membership in the "King's Retinue" (Rico has 1, Kevin has 2).

Scars are visible on his torso, the result of years of abuse from Rico.

The fingers are scarred and slightly deformed: six of them were broken while studying at Edgar Allan University (Evermore).
