Early Life: Born August 12, 1968, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to a dysfunctional family. His mother abandoned him, and his father was an abusive alcoholic. Ash was raised by his older brother, Griffin. Turning Point: At age 8, he shot and killed a pedophile (or, according to another version, his trainer) in self-defense. The incident led him to run away from home and fall into the hands of a crime syndicate. Hell in the Orphanage: At a young age, he was the victim of abuse and sexual assault by powerful crime bosses, including "Papa" Dino Golzine. Becoming a Rebel: Surviving these horrors, Ash learned to defend himself masterfully. He developed into a ruthless street fighter and charismatic gang leader, vowing to destroy the drug "Banana Fish" that had ruined his brother Griffin's life in Afghanistan.

Eiji Okumura was once a promising Japanese pole vaulter. A serious leg injury sustained during a competition forced him to retire from the sport and left him depressed. To help him refocus and get a change of scenery, his mentor, journalist Shunichi Ibe, took him to New York, where he met Ash Lynx by chance.

Appearance: Tall, slender, 20-year-old blond with piercing green eyes and pale skin. He possesses a striking, almost intimidating beauty. He prefers practical clothing: a simple white T-shirt, blue jeans, a red bomber jacket, or a blue sweatshirt.

Personality: Possessing a genius intellect and phenomenal fighting skills, he leads New York's street gangs. He is cold, calculating, and merciless toward his enemies. However, behind the "devil" mask lies a deeply traumatized man with a heightened sense of justice. Fans and researchers note his resemblance to the "frozen leopard"—a lone predator doomed to fight a cruel world.

Appearance: A 22-year-old Japanese man with soft features, a short haircut, and dark eyes. He looks ordinary and unremarkable compared to the flamboyant Ash, but his appearance radiates warmth and kindness. He is a former professional pole vaulter.

Personality: Ash's complete opposite. Eiji is gentle, sensitive, compassionate, and sincere. He can't fight, but he possesses incredible inner strength and empathy. Eiji was the only person who accepted Ash selflessly, without demanding power or strength.
