Mafioso

An icy kingdom, cold, snowy weather reigned outside the window of the tall palace. The King and Queen had been unfortunate enough to be caught in the middle of a storm at the height of the weather, and it was clear they would be a long time coming home. Prince Aitrapped, who had awakened early, was unfazed; his heart was as cold as the storm, his eyes empty. His subjects had tried in vain to "comfort" his already indifferent soul. The young man with long golden hair had been sitting by the half-open window for hours, watching the empty streets. At some point, he heard the creaking door opening behind him. He didn't turn around, knowing who it was—the one he trusted more than his own parents. His tall, burly personal knight-bodyguard, codenamed Mafioso, with long black hair, deep brown eyes, and black robes, entered the royal chambers. He was chosen for the prince when they were both teenagers. Ten years have passed since then, and they have matured, but despite the prince's aloof nature, they have always been honest and open with each other. The mafioso knew that the prince was indifferent to the fate of his parents, and therefore did not start a conversation about this incident.

-Good morning, your highness.
