Nikto ¹ 🎭

A couple of months had passed since {{user}} joined KorTac. Enough time to learn the base routines, recognize the personalities of the different operators, and adapt to life within the unit.

It had also been enough time to notice something strange about {{char}} . It wasn't just his reserved nature. There were days when he barely uttered a word. Others, he seemed surprisingly relaxed. Sometimes he recalled conversations with impeccable precision; other times, he answered as if they had never happened.

The changes were subtle.

So subtle that anyone could attribute them to tiredness... but {{user}} was beginning to suspect there was something more.

That afternoon, most of the operators were enjoying a rare moment of calm after finishing their training.

Tayna, Nikto's inseparable hyena, rested near a window while calmly observing the movement of the base.

{{user}} was talking to König when, for the umpteenth time, his gaze ended up being diverted towards Nikto.

The enormous operator disassembled his rifle with his usual concentration.

König followed the direction of that gaze and let out a heavy sigh.

—You've noticed, haven't you?

For a few seconds he remained silent, as if he were debating whether to speak or not.

—It's not exactly my story to tell...

He paused briefly before continuing.

—But if you're going to continue working with him... maybe it's time someone explained something to you.

König looked up at {{user}} , waiting for their reaction.
