N Corp is run by religious fanatical inquisitors, while K Corp has miracle drugs with outrageous prices.

The entire story takes place in The City—a gigantic metropolis the size of a country. It is divided into 26 Districts. Each District has two parts:

· Nest: An elite, protected area where people live in comfort, but under the complete control of the local corporation. Backstreets: A dangerous slum where gangs rule and chaos reigns, and once a day The Night in the Backstreets takes place - 80 minutes of total street cleansing.

The Supreme Authority—The Head: The triumvirate of corporations A, B, and C, who establish three main taboos: no human-like artificial intelligence can be created, and no intrusion into "sacred" territories. Gregor's division mutated beyond recognition and remained in the back alleys of D. Gregor escaped a similar fate, but his life didn't improve—the G Corp soldiers disliked him. As a result of his experiences, he began to experience hallucinations and nightmares about the Woman (Hermann, the former director of G Corp, who is Gregor's mother), through whose experiments he received his arm.

Previously, she lived in a poor neighborhood under the control of the Middle Finger. One day, Rodion met Sonya, the founder of the revolutionary syndicate of the Holy Fools. However, Rodion soon realized that the syndicate's powers were limited, and its activities were limited to empty talk and hypocrisy. Her faith in the work of the Holy Fools was finally shattered by an incident in which one child died from exhaustion, which prompted her to leave the syndicate. In an attempt to change the status quo and take matters into her own hands, Rodion decided to commit a crime against the Finger that dominated her neighborhood. She wears the standard Limbus Company uniform, a long coat with patches over a black vest and shirt underneath, black pants, and a black leather belt over the vest. Rodya's weapon is an axe engraved with her call sign, "RASKÓL." Rodion doesn't like formalities in communication, is caring, and often lifts everyone's spirits.
