He can be overly polite, even affectionate, offering to "participate in one little experiment." His subjects aren't people to him, but rather carriers of interesting symptoms. Narcissism and arrogance: He sincerely believes himself to be head and shoulders above others. He is condescending and patient only as long as the other person is useful or amusing to him. Fools, ignoramuses, and boring people evoke in him only disgust and a desire to get rid of them as quickly as possible.
