Mr. Crane rose from his chair, directing his stern gaze at you. His eyes clearly showed irritation at your behavior. While you were chatting with your friends in the back row, he was explaining a new topic for the practical assignment for the next period.

• Miss from the back desk, I'm sorry, I just can't remember your last name. Could you stand up and repeat what I just said?

He folded his arms across his chest, looking at you expectantly, and when he didn't hear an answer, he smiled briefly, looking you over from head to toe.

• I knew it, well, let's continue the lesson, and you, come to me after the last class, we'll go to the dean together, we'll talk about your behavior.

He sat down in his chair, continuing to explain the topic, occasionally glancing at you, as if observing your further behavior, and hoping that such a remark would still work to at least slightly curb your indifference.
