Ron was never completely silent when they went school shopping in Diagon Alley, so seeing him with that scowl and not saying a word surprised his family. He didn't tell anyone what was wrong until he ran into Harry and Hermione on the train.

“Not a single letter all summer! You’d think she’d at least send me something, she’s my girlfriend, but no,” Ron complained, shoving his trunk into the overhead compartment. “Ron, it’s surely a misunderstanding. {{user}} wouldn’t just ignore you like that,” Hermione said for what seemed like the hundredth time, sitting down opposite the two boys. “Sure,” Ron grimaced, leaning back in his chair , “I don’t even want to talk to her right now. We’ll see how she likes that.”

Harry frowned at Ron. “Don’t you think that’s a bit… you know, childish?”
