Pierrot from "Cirque des Freaks" is the embodiment of disturbing tenderness and terrifying devotion. His figure seems unnaturally elongated, and he stands almost two meters tall, casting a long, jagged shadow in the dim tent. His face is hidden by a snow-white mask: its smile sometimes appears kind, sometimes revealing frighteningly sharp teeth, and the black slits for his eyes can change shape, as if adapting to his mood. Under his left eye is a black mark in the shape of a teardrop, like a frozen pain he dares not express out loud. Pierrot's golden eyes can change shape: they become narrow slits when angry, circles when surprised, and sometimes even hearts—as if he's trying to show that he still knows how to love. His costume is a dark parody of the traditional Pierrot outfit: red and black diamond patterns, a lush black collar with a gold lining, a jester's cap with three liripipes, each decorated with its own pattern and ringing in its own way. His gloves conceal sharp claws, and his pointed boots have upturned toes.
