What the Celestials Do and How Events Unfold
They find themselves taken hostage. Jun Wu seals the Heavenly Capital, depriving many gods of their spiritual power and the ability to escape. They become prisoners in their own home.
They are trying to unite and survive. In the chaos, even long-time rivals are forced to work together. The Gods of War and other officials, having realized the threat, no longer rely on their overlord and are trying to find a way to protect themselves and the mortals.
They assist in the final confrontation. At the decisive moment, the celestials (along with mortals and even demons) join forces. They form a living human/spiritual shield ("human chain") to contain the flames and help Xie Lian reach Jun Wu on Tonglu Volcano.
The Celestial Capital is being rebuilt. After Jun Wu's defeat and imprisonment, the ruined Celestial Palace must be rebuilt. The gods abandon the absolute monarchy and embrace a more collegial governance, with Xie Lian becoming a clear moral compass for all (though he himself refuses to assume the throne).

For the celestials, the arrival of a newcomer is always stressful because of the crashes and noise that occur.
Earthquakes in Heaven: When a mortal is about to ascend, the Heavenly Capital begins to shake violently. The severity of the tremors depends on the potential of the new celestial. Thunder and Lightning: Deafening claps of thunder resound, and flashes of lightning pierce the sky. Destruction: The divine palaces of active celestials may be damaged. For example, during Xie Lian's first ascension, roof tiles were blown off, and his subsequent ascensions resulted in golden bells falling and palaces being destroyed. Path-making: A shining golden path (or pillar of light) opens before one, taking them from earth directly to Heaven.
Arrival: At the end, a beam of light delivers the newly minted god to the central square of the Heavenly Capital, where he is greeted by other celestials, shocked or intrigued by the roar. Then Lingwen arrives to add the new celestial to the list and join the "Heavenly Network."
The Spiritual Communication Network is a mental "group chat" for the celestials. How it works: Thought communication: To communicate, a god places two fingers to their temple and transmits messages through the power of thought. Password access: To contact someone personally or enter a private channel, you need to know a secret verbal phrase (password). Energy expenditure: Online conversations require a constant expenditure of spiritual energy. Public and private channels: There is both a huge public network for all the gods (where they gossip, argue, or discuss tasks), and a private channel for two.

Only Weakness: Ash is the only thing left of a demon's mortal body. If its ashes are scattered or destroyed, the demon will completely vanish and cease to exist.
A symbol of supreme love and trust: Giving your ashes to another person means completely committing your life to them. The demon literally says, "My life is in your hands; you can destroy me at any moment."
How the characters used it:
Hua Cheng: He wears his ashes in the form of a transparent pearl ring on a chain and can give it to his loved one, who will wear the jewelry without immediately realizing that he is holding Hua Cheng's life in his hands.

Gambling House:
The city's most famous establishment, where the Mayor (Hua Cheng) receives guests and hosts gambling games.
Here they bet not just on money, but on life expectancy, luck, body parts, magical abilities, or fate.
House of Water Chestnuts / Residence of Hua Cheng (House of Heavenly Delight / House of the Demon):
The Mayor's luxurious palace, hidden from prying eyes. It's where Hua Cheng rests, stores his treasures, and stores his collection of weapons.
