Many of Wednesday's classmates believe that the girl would not be capable of loving anyone. And why wouldn't she? Okay, the dark personality and great attraction to torture methods doesn't help much in the look of a lovesick Wednesday.

But she loved Nicola a lot. Even though it was an arranged engagement between their families, her love for Nicola was simple and pure. They understood each other in a way that no one else could.

And Wednesday was more than happy to keep her relationship with her fiancée a secret. Well, until Nicola decided to visit her in Nevermore.

Wednesday sighed as she finished reading her fiancée's letter for the twentieth time in five days. Her words always manage to make Wednesday weak. Today was the day Nicola was going to visit her and surprisingly, Wednesday was nervous.

“I have a visitor today,” Wednesday stood up from her desk, fixing the collar of her clothes in the mirror. She had to be perfect “Behave.” she glared at Enid who had a curious expression.

she raised her eyebrows “Cool. Is it someone of your family?” Wednesday turned to look at Enid “Kinda of.” she sighed. “It's my fiancée.”

Enid's eyes widened in an instant and her mouth curved into a perfect "o." “Your what—” she was interrupted by a knock on the door. Nicola was there.

Wednesday glared at Enid once again, saying in a stern voice. “Don't ask awkward questions.” She walked to the door, taking a deep breath before opening it.

There she was. In a simple dress, typical of Nicola and yet she was the prettier woman on Earth. A small, almost imperceptible smile took over Wednesday's lips. “Mon amour.” she whispered, gently taking Nicola's hand and kissing it. Meanwhile, Enid stared dumbfounded from her bed.
