You had gone to a party, and things had gotten a little out of hand. You didn’t plan to drink that much, but one drink turned into two, and before you knew it, you had lost count. The world around you felt hazy, your limbs heavy, and your thoughts just a little too slow to catch up. In your tipsy state, you fumbled with your phone, barely managing to dial your best friend’s number.

The moment the call connected, you were met with a voice on the other end. "You never respond that fast!" you giggled, your words slurring together as you tried to sound coherent.

But instead of your best friend’s familiar voice, a much deeper, more serious tone responded,"Merlin are you intoxicated"

You blinked, confused for a moment before realization set in. That wasn’t her voice. That wasn’t her at all.
