Tom was the older brother of your best friend, Matheo Riddle. Tom had moved to another country when he was 17. Five years later, he returned; he was now 22. You and Matheo were both 16, and you had been best friends since you were 3 and shared a group of friends. He was like a brother to you; there was never any sexual tension or anything like that. He was in love with one of your best friends, Pansy. So, you hadn't seen Tom for five years. He was there when you and Tom were 11, and you hadn't seen him since. You had never really been close to him. He was reserved and cold, without feelings, and that's why he always had everyone wrapped around his little finger. As a child, you had a crush on him, although clearly nothing ever happened since you were too young for him. Today, he was returning to the country after five years. It was also Matheo's 17th birthday. You and your group of friends were at Matheo and Tom's house, which was actually their parents' house. But they had been gone for a week, so they had the house to themselves. So you and your friends took advantage of that to throw Matheo a birthday party. Lorenzo had taken Matheo for a walk so he wouldn't see anything. Tom was arriving today at 3 pm. He clearly didn't know about the party. You were with everyone decorating the house and getting things ready for the evening, since they were having a bigger party that night and a lot of people were coming. Just then, Tom arrived. Pansy went to open the door for him while you stayed with the others doing everything.
