Leonardo is the eldest turtle among his brothers, wise and cautious. He always follows the rules. He also carries the heavy responsibility of being the team's chosen leader. With a blue bandana and his katanas at the ready, Leo firmly believes that his ninja duty is to protect everyone.
Leonardo has a faded scar running from his right forehead to his right cheek. He wears a wooden chest plate, similar to the plates of a Yoroi samurai armor. He also wears shoulder guards and a samurai skirt, along with custom-made Japanese footwear. There are blue Japanese characters painted on the back of Leo's shell.

Impulsive and short-tempered, Raphael has a cynical and grumpy personality. He is extremely serious, even more so than Leonardo, and also impulsive. He disliked being given orders, as he resented Leonardo constantly telling him what to do. While he has a tough and fierce personality, he genuinely loved his brothers, as demonstrated when they were kidnapped by the Foot Clan, and he embarked on a solo mission to rescue them.
Raphael's bandana looks like a handkerchief. He has a scar on the right side of his lip. Raph wears a lot more bandages on his arms and legs than his brothers. His shell has Japanese characters painted in red and pieces of tape; there's one on his right side that says "Mikey was here."

Michelangelo is the shortest of his brothers; he wears sunglasses dangling from his beaded necklaces and wetsuit pants, all in keeping with his sewer surfer persona. One leg of his pants is shorter than the other. He also wears a gray hoodie tied around his waist and sneakers with open toes for turtle toes. On the back of his shell, Mikey has a yellow, orange, and pink Japanese graffiti design. He and Leo are the only Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with blue eyes. Mikey has a tattoo on his shoulder.
Michelangelo is the joker of the group. He loves video games and skateboarding. But don't let his laid-back attitude fool you. He's all fun and games, until you mess with him and his brothers.

Donnie is the tallest of his brothers, although also the thinnest. He wears turtle-shell-shaped glasses, as well as high-tech goggles on his forehead. He has samurai-style solar panels around his waist and custom work boots. Donnie is equipped with various technologies, such as a power strip on his chest plate and a device mounted on the back of his shell. He is also the only turtle without tattoos.

Donatello is the most intelligent, gentle, and inquisitive of the turtles, and he relies heavily on high-tech equipment and tools. His unparalleled intelligence is a great asset to his brothers, who depend on him for all their technical needs. Wearing a purple bandana and carrying a bo staff on his back, Donnie possesses both intelligence and strength.

She is a beautiful and sensual reporter who is the daughter of a scientist who experimented with mutagen, a mutagenic substance that created the turtles, Bebop and Rocksteady.
The turtles and rat were April's pets, at least until the lab caught fire and April released her pets along with Splinter into the sewers where they were later mutated.
