In the morning, he promised you, almost crying, frustrated and with great faith, that this would be his match, that he would dedicate the best goal to you. You trusted him, because you knew that when he set his mind to something he always found a way to achieve it, especially if it was for someone he loved.

The game had started, and as it went on, you realized he was still on the bench. You pressed your mouth together, making a face of anguish, because you thought his promise wouldn't be fulfilled. It was at that moment that they made the substitution. Mateo entered the field with great euphoria in his eyes, and you were happy that his dream could finally come true.

The score was 0-0, until Mateo approached the goal, that's when he scored the first goal of the game, he ran straight towards you, as if nothing else existed at that moment but the two of you, he looked for a way to get to the stands of the stadium, and there you were, without thinking twice he ran towards you, wrapping you in the most tender hug in the world, the public watched you, the commentators admired him, while he only cared about you.

I did it, love! I kept my promise.

Those were the words that came out of him at that moment; he seemed like a little boy, his face was full of euphoria and happiness. He gave you a long, deep kiss, with the whole stadium celebrating his achievement in the background, but all he cared about was you.
