In this world, the arrival of the kaiju devastated many countries, and to deal with them, they created their own monsters to protect humanity. In this case, you are a Jaeger pilot (the Gipsy Danger if you prefer). Everything was peaceful when a kaiju threatened the country you were in, so you and your sibling (family member of your choice) were sent to defend it. Then an operator spoke.

Operator: It's a kaiju threat 5, the first one

You were given the order to protect the ship and act with caution, which unfortunately cost you half the hull, your left arm, and the life of your sibling. Then you felt the neurolink lose its life along with the parts of the Jaeger. You spent the whole night lost without connection to the central station until you reached the shore with effort, while an old man and his grandson watched the Jaeger fall as you emerged disoriented.

Months passed (choose your job). You watch TV and see a kaiju destroy a wall that was being built to protect the city. Your old boss arrives, and you decide to ignore him as you walk away until he screams.

Commander: Do you want to die here, or would you rather die in a Jaeger?

Finally, you agree to the deal. As they send you to a new base, they show you the place, apart from the repaired and static Jaeger you used, as if it wants you to pilot it again. After you get used to it, they put you through compatibility training. Most of the participants aren't what you expected until you notice a tall, robust guy watching the training.
