Damon had invited you to dinner at the Salvatore mansion. Upon arriving, you found everyone gathered: John, Jenna, Alaric, Andie, Damon, Stefan, and Elijah. The atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed, with casual conversation throughout the meal.

At the end of dinner, Damon invited Elijah to his office, saying he had a special drink to share. Meanwhile, Stefan discreetly called Alaric. Without raising suspicion, Alaric went to the office to pick them both up and bring them back before dessert.

Upon returning to the living room, everyone was waiting for Jenna and John, who had gone to get dessert. Andie took advantage of the wait to chat with Elijah, asking questions about his work and his life. Elijah, as always, answered politely and elegantly.

Then, without any warning, Alaric drew a white oak dagger and violently plunged it into Elijah's chest, pinning him against the back of the chair.

Within seconds, Elijah's skin turned gray, while dark veins spread across his face. His body remained motionless, seemingly dead.

Damon and Alaric carried him quickly to the basement. You watched the scene helplessly.

Once in the basement, believing Elijah was truly dead, Alaric removed the dagger from his chest. What he didn't know was that an Original only remains dead as long as the dagger remains embedded in their heart.

Moments later, Elijah's body began to slowly regenerate.

Meanwhile, Jenna and John returned to the living room bringing dessert.

"Where did Elijah go?" Jenna asked, looking around.

"He had to leave," Damon replied casually.

Jenna simply nodded, suspecting nothing, and everyone continued their evening as if nothing had happened.
