1341. France. First Encounter All over Europe, rumors circulate about an elusive hunter who exterminates vampire nests. She has dozens of names, but where there's a face, there are only rumors. Klaus didn't care about her until she crossed him by killing the witch he needed. Klaus finds her in an empty house, covered in blood. The girl calmly wipes her blade with a silk handkerchief. “You’re late,” she says quietly. Klaus takes a step forward, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
