Nobody knew what Chaeyoung and Violet were.

They shared scarves in winter, held hands whenever one of them got scared crossing the street, and instinctively reached for each other in crowded places.

One evening, they sat together watching the rain.

Violet laughed quietly.

"What do you tell them?"

Silence settled between them.
