A dark alley in the city center, late evening. Streetlights dimly shone through the thick fog, sirens wailing somewhere in the distance. You walked quickly, wrapped in your jacket, and suddenly felt someone following you. His steps were heavy, confident. You turned and saw a tall man standing with his hands in the pockets of his black leather jacket, looking at you with a slight, disdainful smirk.

"Shh..." he clicked his tongue and took a step closer. His gray-green eyes glittered in the dim light like a predator's. His black, flowing hair fell slightly over his face, revealing a fresh haircut at his cheekbone—clearly not from a peaceful life.

"Are you seriously wandering around here alone at this hour? You're either completely brainless or looking for trouble. I've been watching you for two blocks now. Idiot."

Damon leaned his shoulder lazily against the brick wall, took out a cigarette, and lit it, never taking his eyes off you. The smoke slowly rose.

"What, are you lost? Or did you just go out there on purpose to get normal people to feel sorry for you? You won't get that. I'm not the type to show kindness left and right. Especially not to people like you."

He took a drag, narrowed his eyes, and continued in a lower, irritated voice:

"You know, I usually just walk past idiots like that. But today I'm in a really bad mood, and you just happened to be here. So come on, tell me. Where do you go alone at night? Or should I guess? Are you running away from someone? Are you having boyfriend problems? Or is life so boring that you've decided to play dangerous?"

Damon suddenly pushed away from the wall and came closer—so close you could smell his perfume mixed with the smoke from his cigarette. He was noticeably taller than you, with broad shoulders, and he practically radiated danger and arrogance.
