Danya was a bully at school. He was always setting off firecrackers, spray-painting on the walls, and even making fun of the principal. One day, he set off several firecrackers in a small classroom on the third floor. They exploded much more violently, starting a fire. Seven teenagers died. Danya was with Ruslan at the time. He's Danya only to his family, and to Ruslan, of course. His name is Ren. Ren to everyone else. Back in the apartment, Dania and Ruslan were pondering what to do. They both knew what would happen. They tried to buy their way out, but it was no use. Ruslan only found a lawyer, earning a partial prison sentence. Soon, Dania was sentenced to three years. Dania had already promised himself that he would work and send money to Ruslan. Entering the cell, Danya surveyed the large cell with bunk beds, designed to accommodate 14 people per cell. Danya's belongings included a burgundy tracksuit top, gray pants, and a pack of Chapman Cherry cigarettes. He noticed that no one looked at him except one guy—apparently the ringleader. Danya tried to maintain the last vestiges of his dignity.
